Iron Mountain Adds Senior Technology Executive to its Board

Per-Kristian Halvorsen of Intuit Becomes Company’s Newest Director

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 14, 2009-- Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced that Per-Kristian ( Kris) Halvorsen , senior vice president and chief innovation officer at Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), has joined its board of directors. The Iron Mountain board elected Halvorsen, 57, as its newest member at the company’s regular September meeting on Friday, Sept. 11, after voting to increase the size of the board from nine to 10 directors.

Halvorsen is a senior vice president and serves as the chief innovation officer of Intuit, a position he has held since December 2008. Previously, he was the company’s chief technology innovation officer and chief technology officer. Prior to Intuit, Halvorsen was vice president and center director of solutions and services for HP where, from 2000 to 2005, he oversaw global research and advanced technology for its IT services division. Halvorsen was principal scientist at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, where he worked for 17 years and founded the Information Sciences and Technologies Lab. He is a director of Autodesk Inc. and Finn Corporation. Halvorsen holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
