Iron
Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the information management
company, announced that it has been named as a strong performer in the
March 2011 "The Forrester Wave (TM): Message Archiving Software, Q1 2011"
report for its NearPoint
on-premise content archiving solution. Iron Mountain is among a select
group of nine companies that Forrester Research, Inc. evaluated in the
report.
Forrester's Wave report assessed these top message archiving vendors on
a 90-criteria evaluation of their current offerings, strategy and market
presence. The report is based on an analysis of data from vendor
surveys, product demos and customer reference calls. Forrester set
default weightings to reflect their analysis of the needs of large
message archiving users -- and/or other scenarios as outlined in the
Forrester Wave document -- and then scored the vendors based on a clearly
defined scale. The final scores generate the graphical depiction of the
market based on current offering, strategy and market presence.
NearPoint received its top scores for strategy - particularly its
reseller partnerships - and its market presence.
