BOSTON, Jun 17, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Iron
Mountain Incorporated (NYSE: IRM), the information management
company, will sponsor a free June 22 webinar on how large organizations
can better prepare for legal discovery.
A 2010 Iron Mountain records compliance
survey of general counsels, CIOs and records managers at nearly 3,500
organizations revealed that two in five (42 percent) struggle to find
information in time to meet discovery deadlines, while 68 percent admit
to having no formal program in place for accessing or managing
electronic records during the discovery process. The reasons for this
include growing data volumes and a "keep-everything" approach to records
retention, driving up storage costs and making it tougher to find the
right documents come discovery.
Hosted by Law.com, the webinar will overview the complexities behind
complying with discovery requests. Sue Trombley, director of consulting
for Iron Mountain, and enterprise consultant David E. Obarowski, Esq.,
will offer practical advice for improving enterprise records and
information management programs. Attendees will also gain access to an
exclusive copy of Iron Mountain's new "Compliance Brief: The State of
Electronics Records."
