BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Iron
Mountain® Incorporated (NYSE: IRM) today announced that Eileen

In her new role, Sweeney will oversee Iron Mountain’s global data
management business including offsite tape vaulting, archival tape
management, asset and media destruction, and data restoration. The data
management business provides service to more than 30,000 customers
across 75 markets via nearly 100 data management facilities. Sweeney
will be responsible for the continued development of the data management
portfolio to support customers’ evolving information management needs.
“Eileen is a fantastic addition to our team,” said William L. Meaney.
“She is a high-impact leader that possesses the winning track record for
growing technology services businesses that we wanted overseeing our
data management business. We’re particularly excited about her ability
to drive international growth in rapidly changing IT markets, given that
our IT customers are redeploying tape—in conjunction with disc and cloud
technologies--to lower their information storage costs without
sacrificing their privacy or access requirements. Needless to say, we’re
thrilled to have Eileen running a very important business for us and to
add her to our senior executive team.”
Sweeney comes to Iron Mountain from CSC, a global leader in information
technology services and solutions. There she served most recently as
vice president and general manager of the multi-billion dollar global
manufacturing segment where she improved the group’s pipeline
development and increased operating growth. She spent 20 years with CSC,
and held a number of senior positions including global president of the
manufacturing sector and managing director of the consulting group.
“I’m thrilled to join Iron Mountain and lead its global data management
business. Iron Mountain has a great brand of trust and security, and I’m
excited to be a part of growing the value proposition for IT leaders,
who traditionally know the company for off-site tape storage. The
company brings so much more than that, and we’ll be focused on helping
IT leaders tackle their broader business challenges, beyond information
protection,” said Sweeney. “Combining Iron Mountain’s dynamic company
culture with the opportunity to help grow its global business made this
a really great role fit for me.”
Prior to CSC, Sweeney worked at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and General
Electric. She holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of
Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, as well
as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Union College.
